Gary, Sam, a colleague, and I went to the Minetta Lane Theater to see nine short, one-act plays presented in a ninety minutes with no intermission. The unifying theme was marriage equality, but the range of approaches was terrific: superb acting, well-developed characters, humor, heart, hurt. I would see this again in a flash, so if anyone wants to go, just let me know.
Richard Thomas (The Waltons) was excellent — hell, everyone was excellent, and unbeknownst to me until we arrived at the theater, Mark Consuelos, sexy husband of Kelly Ripa, was part of the fine troupe which brought these plays to life. *Wink*!
